Data Sharing Policy
Smoky Mountain Publishing encourages authors to share the data and other research work supporting the results in the paper by archiving it in an appropriate public repository. We strongly encourage that data generated by their research that supports your article be made available as soon as possible, wherever legally and ethically possible. Authors may provide a data availability statement, including a link to the repository they have used, in order that this statement can be published in their paper.
The journal also allows preprints where a version of the manuscript is made available online before peer review. It becomes part of the scientific record, citable with its own unique DOI. The journal’s copyright & self-archiving policies are classified in Sherpa Romeo.
To ensure the preservation, usability, and accessibility of content for long-term availability, there is a need for digitally depositing the published data, called archiving. Our journal is archived in Internet Archive, CLOCKSS, and LOCKSS., ensuring that it will be secure and available in the future.
After publishing an article it is also shared on different social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter, where it is recognized by scholars from the same community. Thus, we define sharing as the practice of giving a defined set of people access to our published content via social media platforms, such as by posting or recommending it.
